In his home state of Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum might be a native son - but he is hardly a favored son in many quarters, including among some Republicans who want him to abandon his campaign for the presidency. Six years ago, Santorum lost his reelection bid for a third term in the US Senate, and if falling poll numbers are any indication he could face the ignominy of another embarrassing loss when voters go to polls on April 24.
