Dragon capsule arrives at ISS for historic docking

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — The privately bankrolled Dragon capsule made a historic arrival at the International Space Station on Friday, triumphantly captured by astronauts wielding a giant robot arm.

SpaceX is the first private company to accomplish such a feat: a commercial cargo delivery into the cosmos.

Comments

"...a commercial cargo delivery into the cosmos." Hardly more into the cosmos than we are already, here in solid ground. At 250 mi. altitude, the ISS extends out by 0.06 of the earth's radius. If the earth is modeled by a basketball, this come to about 3/8 inch. Impressive, but hardly the cosmos. Please cut the purple prose.
