The campaigns of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama have paid a combined $45 million to businesses and consultants from Massachusetts, making the Bay State the nation’s number one destination for presidential campaign spending by a long shot. Some of the money has merely passed through the state, but even with such payments excluded, expense reports filed with the FEC still show 13 cents of every dollar spent by the two leading presidential candidates has been pumped into the Massachusetts economy.

Throwing good money after bad? How could a presidential visit by Barry O help anyone? He should make a trip to visit his bud Putin in Russia. Those attack helicopters Putin is sending to Syria's Assad were part of Barry's whisper to Putin to "wait until after "my" election". He didn't wait! Even Putin knows how populary Barry Husein is in America. Having said that, don't wait for Democrats in Massachusetts to forgo that erotic plesure they feel when they pull the lever for Obama. America's family's net worth has fallen from $127,000 to $76,000 but the average Democrat doesn't read newspapers other than the this bastion of liberal, socialist outpouring, the Boston Globe. Yes, I read it and enjoy sitting in wonder at the words that appear here in print. It's a part of my daily flagellation to inflict soul purifying pain.
This is good news for some business here. It could even be better if this is a two party state. There would be more advertising dollars here, more ground spending as both candidates would need to campaign here, more staff and support which generates income for smaller business.
How is this not a two-party state? Is there no minority party? Are all elections unopposed? Did Gov. Patrick win re-election with a unanimous vote? You insult the MA GOP with such a comment.
