The battle over the nation’s health care law shifted from the courtroom to the ballot box Thursday, with President Obama praising the Supreme Court’s decision as a landmark that will help all Americans, and Mitt Romney, his presumed opponent, pledging to make repeal his first priority as president.
“The highest court in the land has now spoken. We will continue to implement this law. And we’ll work together to improve on it where we can,” Obama said in brief remarks at the White House.

The Republicans have been saying this from time immemorial that the nation cannot afford the health care program. What's new? It's the same old, same old. But we can afford a bloated military establishment; we can afford the decades-lomg maintenance of nuclear weapons that we have no intention of ever using; we can afford going to the moon. I could continue with more examples of how the national treasure is either wasted or used, but we cannot afford, as the Republicans scream, the health care program.
