HIGH POINT, N.C – A buoyant Mitt Romney and new running mate Paul Ryan propelled their bid for the White House through a series of boisterous events Sunday in the first day of extensive campaigning together since the former Massachusetts governor chose Ryan as his political partner.
His events having the energy of a rock concert, Romney fed on the fervor of the crowds, dispensing high fives, effusively praising his new pick, and at one point joined a chanting crowd: “Paul, Paul, Paul.”

Axelrod has the temerity to say that Ryan's views are "harsh"? In fact, Ryan is the leading fiscal realist in DC. He knows that we cannot continue trillion dollar budget deficits without becoming another Greece. He knows that we cannot keep borrowing from China and Saudi Arabia without compromising our national security. He knows that without entitlement reform the Congress will be forced to enact a massive tax increase on the middle class. The harshness emanating from DC these days is the campaign rhetoric of Obama, Biden and Axelrod, not the realism of Paul Ryan.
It's morning in America again, Ozark!
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." President Dwight D. Eisenhower, l952-----
Liberal: Generous- not narrow in opinion or judgment, Tolerant-not orthodox. Conservative: disposed to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions. (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary.) Kind of says it all doesn't it!
Do all those enthusiastic people have any clue what these guys are actually planning? They are going to eliminate federal help for roads, bridges, health care, schools, police, firemen, etc. They are going to make America a third world country.
Enjoy the moment while it lasts. If these voters actually investigate what these two religious zealot's plans are for the country, they wouldn't be quite so excited. While in Congress, Ryan has cast 59 votes on women's reproductive rights and not one has been pro-choice. In 2011, Ryan voted against repealing DADT. Ryan sponsored Fetal Personhood Bill and he opposes family planning funds. Ryan also supported a highly controversial bill which would have allowed hospitals to refuse to provide a woman emergency abortion care, even if her life is on the line. Now, that's not even getting into Medicare vouchers and radically diminished social security benefits. Besides running for V.P., Ryan is also running to retain his Congressional seat in Wisconsin's 1st district, not very confident, is he?
"Days after receiving a letter signed by 90-plus faculty and administrators rebuking his interpretation of Catholic social teaching, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) stepped onto the Georgetown University campus Thursday amid critics of the federal budget he proposed, the House of Representatives has approved and presidential candidate Mitt Romney has endorsed. The letter from the Jesuit-run university's scholars followed a series of letters from the U.S. bishops to four committees in the House, where the Ryan budget passed March 29. In their four letters, the bishops voiced their disapproval of the 2013 GOP budget, calling for a "circle of protection" around programs for the poor and vulnerable. "Our problem with Representative Ryan is that he claims his budget is based on Catholic social teaching," said Jesuit Fr. Thomas J. Reese, one of the Georgetown letter's organizers. "This is nonsense. As scholars, we want to join the Catholic bishops in pointing out that his budget has a devastating impact on programs for the poor." (National Catholic Reporter)
Obama and his pal Axlerod spent the weekend bad-mouthing Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan. That's it - hashing the competition! Nothing concrete from Obama & Axlerod, but negative nonsense.***new paragraph*** Congressman Paul Ryan is the Chairman of the U.S. House Budget Committee, where he works to bring fiscal discipline and accountability to the federal government. He is a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over tax policy, Social Security, health care and trade laws. Congressman Paul Ryan has a more substantial resume than Obama and Biden combined.***new paragraph*** The voters will hopefully take a realistic look at what is happening to this country and will vote for the Romney ~ Ryan team who can & will make changes to get this country back on track.
