In the closely contested battleground of Ohio, even a slight drop in Obama’s support among women could spell trouble for his reelection. In particular, some pollsters said white women, along with people under 50, seem to have been rethinking Obama the most after his listless debate, a potentially catastrophic development for the incumbent. But at least in Ohio, the picture appears to be more complicated. Surveys that appear to show wavering support for Obama among women have not found an echo in Ohio, where an overwhelming number of voters appear to have made up their minds.
