CHICAGO — Chicago has recorded its 435th homicide so far this year, the same number it reported in all of 2011, officials said.

A man who had been shot in the chest was found dead in his South Side home Sunday, police said. His death was one of six fatal shootings in the city from Friday through Sunday.
