Romney, Obama both now lay claim to mantra of ‘change’

CINCINNATI — Mitt Romney, for most of his campaign, mocked President Obama for trying to “transform America.” But in the final days of his race for the presidency, the Republican is driving home a singular message: He, not the president, is the true agent of change.

“We want to bring the real change to America,” Romney said Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa, part of a whirlwind day that also took him to Newington, N.H.; Colorado Springs; and Englewood, Colo. “He says it has to stay this way. I say it can’t stay this way. . . . I want to go to work, he wants to settle.”

Let's examine the alternatives: OK, what is Obama’s plan for the next four years? All we get from the Obama administration are attacks on the Republicans and their plan, where is team Obama’s plan for the way FORWARD. I’ve heard it’s based on reducing the payroll tax for another year and borrow more money to invest in infrastructure along with more borrowed Federal money to put state teachers and police back on the public payrolls. Is that the Democratic plan, more of the same? Obama’s current plan has already increased the national debt by over 5 Trillion; Food Stamp participation went from 32 to 46 Million; gas prices have doubled and unemployment is up to 7.9%... Sounds like it’s going to be more of the same… So how's that "Hope and Change" thing working for you!
Obama has extended the Bush Tax Cuts for two years NOW... as the Bush tax cuts were for 10 years only. Stop calling them the Bush tax cuts, they are the Obama tax cuts now and he wants to extend more than half of them again, but only for the middle class! Stop looking at the past and try focusing on today and then change the government policies NOW... Your kid’s future is at stake, no more temporary tax cuts!!! Look to Europe for a perfect example of what a government should NOT do…

Flip Romney for Obama here and I'm with you.

Like a wily tactician in a sailboat race, his strategy in recent weeks has been to tack as close to his opponent as possible, and aim for a last second wind shift to give him victory.  However, as someone who once voted for Romney (at the time he was the better choice) I'm here to  tell you if you do, beware, you have absolutely no idea who you will get in return.  Touted as a successful businessman, (where there is no premium on consistency or compassion, only economic success), Romney can, at best, be deemed a 'pragmatist', changing positions to meet what he sees as his immediate need.  Alas as governor of MA, his only need was to run for POTUS, and his every action was calculated to achive that goal, much to the detriment of the people of my state.  The current question - what's his next goal?  Ignore his stated goals, they mean nothing, what's his real goal?  Given his background, the uncertainty, and the party platform that he purpotedly represents, I cannot vote for him, and I believe neither should you.

Give him another week and he'll be to the left of Ted Kennedy again.  At least on the stump.

But Mitt IS the candidate of change.  Don't like one of his positions?  Wait 5 minutes.

Obama - tooooo funny: This was one of his many promises of 2008! Didn't happen.

Anyone who had followed Mitt in "MY State" knows he did virtually nothing, from the Big Dig, to education to health care to taxes.  All he was doing was padding his resume' for the presedential run.  He caught Potomac Fever early and evidently got a pass from the Mormon faith, that lying was OK if it was done for his perception of the Greater Good.  Flip-flopping was excused because he really believed what he said all those times.  Shake, Shake, Shake that Etch-A-Sketch.....
