This isn't much of an article. What does an extramarital affair have to do with the CIA? IS it a long-term liaison which he intends to keep and divorce his wife; did he get outed by someone else?; isit an affair with a double agent?; WHY DOES HE HAVE TO LEAVE THE CIA?

A classic case of the little head doing the thinking for the big head. Too bad since the General/Director seemed to be a high caliber individual. I guess I was wrong.....
Men are...men; women are...women. Men have testosterone; Women have estrogen. If you don't think the effects of these hormones are very different you don't know much about sex differences. Men have a MUCH STRONGER sexual attraction to beautiful women then women do to handsome men. Moreover, it is different (much more immediate) It is is women's interest to condition men to feel great amounts of guilt for exercising their sexual attractions. Why? They know the attraction is fundamentally different and they want them to stay around to help raise the family. Now, what does an affair have to do with being head of the CIA. Little to nothing. General Petraeus may (or may not) have a problem with his wife as a result of his affair. Chances are he does, because women are too insecure to allow other women to be involed with their man, and, besides, the women only stays around IF the man is "under control" -- the woman ultimately controls the relationship IF she has lots of other options. And, like the majority of women, when given a choice between a happy man, or an interesting man, or an unthreatening man she chooses the latter. So, why did the General resign? Either because it was required by his wife as a sacrifice for his "error", or because he feels very guilty and a "bad person" for doing what a man often does, or, at least, is very tempted to do. Now, in conclusion, I am NOT saying that the General's affair is not a problem, just that it is not so big a problem that he should resign. The French are correct.
Will the Globe, like other news organizations report that an aide to Professor Warren is the love interest?
Anyone who thinks the General resigned in order not to testify doesn't understand the military or an honor code. No military leader can seperate his personal life from his military. If the affair had not become something that others were aware of I am quite sure he would have remained. However, no military officer can survive an extra marital affair that becomes public.
To turn this into something political is disrespectful to the general and all those who serve. Just because some politicians and some posters have no honor that does not mean the military has lost its own.
The AP says "The CIA has come under intense scrutiny for providing the White House and other administration officials with talking points that led them to say the Benghazi attack was a result of a film protest, not a militant terror attack. " And where did the Administration's Press get THIS information?. Let's see some PROOF from the AP here. This is a highly UNLIKELY reason why the White House and State Dept decided to call the attack as caused by The Video. Much more likely is that "The Video Did IT" was the idea of a political operative like David Axlerod or Valerie Jarret, or even Michelle Obama. ..The AP is a DISHONEST news organization, and should not be believed.
Are you kidding. Most consider the second most conservative news organization only to FOX. But no one doubts its credibility.
AP says "His management style was recently lauded in a Newsweek article by Paula Broadwell, co-author of the biography, ββAll In: The Education of General David Petraeus.ββ..But AP DOESN'T say that Paula Broadwell IS the woman with whom Petraeus had the affair with!
Given your previous post why would you care about anything the AP says.
Because the AP, which is picked up everywhere must be EXPOSED as a dangerous fraud.
