WASHINGTON — Testifying out of sight, former CIA director David Petraeus told Congress on Friday that classified intelligence showed the deadly raid on the US Consulate in Libya was a terrorist attack but the administration withheld the suspected role of Al Qaeda affiliates to avoid tipping them off.
The recently resigned spy chief explained that references to terrorist groups suspected of carrying out the violence were removed from the public explanation of what caused the attack so as not to alert them that US intelligence was on their trail, according to lawmakers who attended Petraeus’s private briefings.

Al Qaeda BOASTED that they were responsible on YouTube WHILE THE ATTACK WAS IN PROGRESS. Video of the attack in real time shows NO PROTESTS.--Obama LIED about monthly Jobs reports, leaked classified intelligence, and FALSIFIED CIA intelligence reports in order to get reelected...And right now, after continuslly saying "We have Israel' Back", he has emboldened Hamas and Iran to attack Israel. But I thought Obama declared it a terrorist attack on September 12th, the day after the attack, in the Rose Garden? Isn't that what he told the Nation in the second debate? Why, then, would Rice call it a spontaneous demonstration for two weeks if the Commander in Chief had already declared it a terrorist attack? Hmmmm....someone's lying. Can't be both ways.

Yes _ richstan, you are right that Obama lied in the 2nd debate AND the Moderator (Crawley) agreed with him.
BUT then the press corp always covers Obama gaux pas. Obama knows this and was smirking when he asked Crawley to back him on his outright lie! She quickly agreed with him.
However, NOTHING in the papers following the debate about shredding the truth by the president & the Moderator.
