WASHINGTON — Susan E. Rice was playing stand-in on Sept. 16 when she appeared on all five Sunday news programs, a few days after the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton would have been the White House’s logical choice to discuss the chaotic events. But administration officials said she was drained after a week consoling the families of those who died, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. And Clinton steers clear of the Sunday shows anyway.

I'm sure Hillary was extremely upset, she asked for extra security in Benghazi and was denied. As far as Susan rice goes, she either was told a lie, or lied to cover this mess up, Patraeus said, that Al Queda was taken out of the report, they knew this was a terror attack all along.

Hillary was way too smart to get involved in this lie. She passed and Ms. Rice stepped up, maybe with a promise to be appointed Sec of State?
Does anyone have a theory of why Fox and Friends and all the Republicans seem to be unfairly attacking Rice.? what is it that they are afraid of if she become Secretary of State? What opportunity are they trying to create by having someone else take that job?
Unfairly attacking Rice? She either knew that the whole "spontaneous demonstration" spin was a lie and went along with it or she didn't know a thing. If she knew nothing about it, she is not qualified to lead the Department of State.
ANYBODY connected to the Benghazi Coverup cannot become the next Secretary of State. A lot of people will not be confirmed by the Senate now...And Susan Rice was obviously sent out to take the heat away from her superiors, including Hillary Clinton. Rice must be ordered to tell who sent her to deliver LIES to 5 talk shows. And Hillary should have to step down NOW as current Secretary of State.

Ms Rice was doing what she was told to do a she was waltz out before 4 or 5 natiional news programs ! I'm sure the scribes at the Globe can come up with some better cover than this. Before the controversy is over the deception and lying will be decsribed as a clerical error. Very few people are buying this story. I would prefer that we just give the Obama admisitratiion a pass and save us from all this dribble
