Susan Rice fails to win over 3 GOP senators

WASHINGTON — UN Ambassador Susan Rice told lawmakers Tuesday that her initial explanation of the deadly Sept. 11 raid in Libya was wrong, but her concession failed to mollify three Republican senators who signaled they would oppose her possible nomination to be secretary of state.

In a closed-door meeting that Rice requested, the ambassador answered questions from Senators John McCain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire about her much-maligned explanations over the cause of the attack on the US diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. She was joined by acting CIA director Michael Morell.

Ayotte as become as disgusting as scott brown and needs to be an ex-senator.

open words to Ms. Rice.....if that is all....three, agenda and weak politically driven has beens....and ayotte is already a has been this early in her career. NH presidents are already disgruntled with her palinesque antics in DC.

Anyway, this charade these three supposed legislators are pulling is so transparent that this episode will blight their already fool on the hill record/persona in a town which is full of these types. graham is a fool....representative of a state that since starting the Civil War...has not progressed much farther. If there was any state that should be allowed to secede it should be sc. As for mcinsane....two sides here. I am a Vietnam veteran and will never say anything about what happened over there....especially to malign anyone else who served there. Having said that....the other side of mcinsane is shameful, sad....and already moving towards disgraceful. This man is now known as the "klown who has no clothes"....others have gone this route but not from such a once, very, very long ago....perch.

As for ayotte...a glitch...and rapidly becoming an eyesore for NH and the nation. Don't believe anyone would want you for vp in 2016 honey....working for your constituents for the brief time you will be in the Senate might work...

The has been lot of reporting on the politics. How about reporting on the investigation of the murders in Benghazi?

Benghazi is just another in a long series of trumped up hatchet jobs by Republican big shots and Fox news to stick it to the President.  After all, Barack Obama had the timerity and bad taste  to be elected, and then re-elected; and  has consistantly refused to play Stephen Fetchet on the National Plantation.  You see continuing evidence that the nations business must be held in abeyance until this uppity man is put in his proper place.  McConneville. McCain, et all, could be leading first political extinction since the Whigs went supernova in American politics.   If we believe our own historical estimations of ourselves; we certainly are better than this lesson in the politics of hate.

Kelly Ayotte is a TeaParty backed candidate who left her job as AG of NH to run for Senator.

She was elected because of personal favors she had done for numerous people during her AG career, not because of her political beliefs, which run contrary to everything most native NH republicans believe in.

She doesn't stand a ghost's chance at re-election.

Absolute tempest in a teapot.  This "gang of three" is holding the nomination hostage to embarrass the President, and apparently, even going out of her way to meet individually with them, Rice didn't sufficiently stroke their substantial egos.  They had their "responses" pre-written and coordinated, all of them "more disturbed and troubled" AFTER having met with Rice, all three using the same phrasing in their responses.  Step aside, old greybeards, the answers are "blowing in the wind", a wind that's gonna blow you into irrelevance.
