When the White House announces to the public a meeting with Congressional leaders, its purpose is NOT to have a deal. It's for POLITICAL GRANDSTANDING.
So, all of a sudden Uncle Mitch McConnell is back "in" the Fiscal Cliff dealings. We really don't know what is going on between Mr. Boehner and the Republican leaders in Congress. Now, we get to hear complaints about The White House and the blame shifts away from the very governmental body charged with maintaining and passing a budget. The President isn't to blame for this. I really wonder when the McConnell bunch will give up trying to stop President Obama and get on with it. People are suffering and it will get worse at this rate. Sorry, the vote in November was not for Mitt Romney. Polls show that people are getting tired of the Republican line. The Republicans and some Democrats plan to let the Fiscal Cliff happen and then ride in on their white horses to slash the higher taxes.
There is no chance these bumbling idiots wil agree on anything. The republicans get what they want a tax increase on all americans. Boehner saves his job!!!
Put them both in a Ford pinto, back them up to a real cliff, and give them an hour to figure it out
That's 59 minutes too long!
A Ford Pinto station wagon with wood grain panels on the sides? Nice idea!
This is a 'no brainer.' What did people expect? Voters returned Obama to the White House for a second term, although, he failed his first term. This country is in a financial mess_just as bad as the third world countries, and nothing is improving . . . regardless of the phony statistics.
Neera Tanden told New York magazine, "The truth is, Obama dosen't call anyone, and he's not close to almost anyone. It's stunning that he's in politics, because he really dosen't like people." Perhaps, it is not all people he dislikes, but the fact that he likes only himself.
