Obama, GOP near fiscal deal, but House won’t vote

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House will miss the midnight Monday deadline lawmakers set for voting to avoid the ‘‘fiscal cliff.’’

House Republicans notified lawmakers that the chamber will vote Monday evening on other bills. They say that will be their only votes of the day.

Biden is a fool

both sides to blame, but I weight it more towards the Dems since they control the Senate and WH. Also, Neither Obama or the Senate has done anything regarding a budget in years

Come on "be".  I give you more credit than this even if you are a partisan.  Boehner couldn't pass his own bill and it's the Dems fault?  Really!  The poor guy can't even cut a deal because he can't trust his wingnuts.  It is not the job of the Senate or Obama to set the budget.  It's the House's job to propose, the Senate to a adjust or change and the Pres. to approve or disapprove.  You know that Constitutional thing that they are now tryng to work around.  You know where spending bills orginate in the House.  Spinning off the problem doesn't do anyone any good.

By the way did play today.  Didn't win any money though - just a flat ole 81 can't get anything with that.

" And a confident Obama, flanked by cheering middle class Americans in a White House auditorium, jabbed Congress, saying lawmakers would use every last second to delay a deal."...So this was actually a Obama campaign PARTY, and Obama was acting as the CLOWN. HA, Ha, HA. That news conference was a RIOT! Obama should be hired to work for Saturday Night Live...PERMANENTLY. And the joke's on YOU.
