For Obama’s second inaugural, fund-raising limits lifted

WASHINGTON — President Obama’s inauguration planners are embracing a Groupon-like “daily deal” concept to scrounge up scarcer-than-expected donations, but this is not about discount inaugural burritos or half-off Joe Biden merchandise.

wow does that guy speak with forked tounge - like no one else in history

Surprise, surprise.  Barack Obama is not a fresh breath of air after all.  His administration has the odor of Chicago-style ward politics.

Obama was never, ever, a "breath of fresh air," and his biography will be a must-read due to his many indiscretions.

Loud, slowly fading groan..

"Do as I say, not as I do" will be etched on Obama's tombstone. Al Gore should swear him in.

Well, a low cost inauguration for the President with the highest deficit in U.S. history is tres appropriate.  How would it be if Barry the O and Michelle walk down Pennsylvania Avenue like Jimma Carter and Rosalyn did back in 1976?  And why couldn't the First pair go to a sock hop instead of a fancy full-dress ball or five such?  Let them live like a whole raft of the rest of us instead of like pretend royalty with a no-rent residence.  Barry the o loves to pitch himself as the ****-in-chief, but that is not the equivalence of Queen Elizabeth or the Japanese Emperor.  Those folks have life time appointments with all the public praise and disrespect that go with them.  Barry the O an look forward to a fairly long life of nobody really caring starting in 2017 when Hillary or Jeb or somebody succeed him at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. There are even some true left-listed beleivers that envision Deeval the Magnificent Corner Office Occpier as moving into 1600 Penn Ave.  But for now, lets just keep the prices down for Barry the O's personal behavior.  He won the election - that should be his singular second term ego trip.

Instead of using millions for the inaugeral and to fill Obama's coffers, let it all go toward the deficit!  Incredible.

I am shocked....absolutely shocked....that Pres. Obama uses corporate money and money from those filthy

millionaires that do not pay their fair share of taxes......But their $1 million dollar donations are very welcome to be

used on him....not to decrease the deficit.....but then he wants to raise the debt ceiling by trillions more...talk

about a waste...he is it.

The presidential inauguration is a celebration of our democracy. It is the only time when we as Americans can look beyond our petty political squabbles and stand proud of the system we are so lucky to be a part of. Unlike the fourth of July, it is not a generalized celebration of "America," but a specific celebration of the Constitution and its enduring legacy. It is a time to appreciate the system itself. The inauguration is never about one man. If you believe in American democracy and the Constitution, then you should be proud to celebrate it on January 21st.
