President Obama praises work of Hillary Clinton

Interview fuels 2016 speculation

WASHINGTON — President Obama lauded Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton as one of his closest advisers and said their shared vision for America’s role in the world persuaded his one-time rival — and potential successor — to be his top envoy while he dealt with the shattered economy at home.

In a joint interview on “60 Minutes” on CBS on Sunday, Obama and Clinton chuckled as they described their partnership and stoked speculation that Obama may prefer Clinton to succeed him in the White House after the 2016 elections. Clinton is leaving Obama’s Cabinet soon, and speculation about the former first lady and senator has only grown more intense after a heated appearance last week on Capitol Hill.

Wjhat a poor article.  The last line says it all.  "Obama described why he insisted Clinton become his secretary of state."  WHY ?  WHY ?

Since you apparently didn't watch it, you can probably still watch it on the CBS website.

Why did this interview even take place?  what was the purpose ?  to discuss Benghazi?  It appears to be a poor interview with no tough questions.  did 60 minutes ever ask obama if he is doing this as pay back for bill clinton's significant and essential assistance during obama's compaign for re-election?  was this the secret deal that was made for bill's help and that if obama won obama would push for hiliary as the next president?  it certainly looks like it.

Yes, there's something wrong about the composition of this article. The last line is out of place and dangling.  Globe?

"Obama, who suggested the joint interview - - -"   You mean 60 Minutes didn't ask Obama if he wanted to be interviewed?  Four more years of this BS.

Yes, four more years, Hiker, and then what? You find your way out of the woods?

If you had been paying attention, you would've heard that this was a pre-scheduled interview with the President, scheduled for the start of his new term.  Shortly before it was to take place, Obama notified "60 Minutes" that he would like it to be a joint interview with Hillary Clinton.  The real news is that it was the only interview Obama has done with someone else other than his wife.  So, the speculation has begun.  Or, for some, the paranoia is really kicking in, apparently.

Next time, just watch it, instead of coming out here and complaining.  Sheesh!

Let no one forget that the Democratic party is the domain of misognyist old white men.

The Secretary of State would be a damn fool to think she could beat one of their chiefs_VP Biden in 2016: One of Ms.Clinton's strongest traits is that _ she is no ones fool!

"the Democratic party is the domain of misognyist old white men?"  Is it, really? Yet in the photo we see a black president and a woman Sec of State?  Am I the only one with the photo? Is my computer broken?

These two can chatter up a pretty picture and leave a can of spilled blood red paint in their wake.

Wow- I love that, mimim. I've no idea what you mean but there are some great phrases there- you should write them down in your notebook.

More media brown nosing.  No remotely tough questions.

The headline should be Obama PRAISES CBS News for asking completely SOFTBALL questions such that 60 Minutes "interview" was nothing other than a campaign appearance for Hillary Clinton.  When asked later why he asked ZERO questions about Benghazi the interview said that he assumed that Obama and Clinton would refuse to answer them. ..The AP and the Globe haven't told people that CBS News John Dickerson wrote in Slate that Obama should declare War on the Republican Party...CBS News  and 60 Minutes are completely in the TANK for Obama.

I saw the interview. Here's what actually happened. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had yet another interview with the Ladies on ABC's "The View". "The View" decided not to air the segment. CBS News bought the rights to "The View" interview and used the same questions on CBS "60 Minutes".

Another prime example of how in the bag the MSM is for Dems and Obama in particular

Steve Kroft: But I think it's a question of fairness. We have not -- I think he knows that we're not going to play gotcha with him, that we're not going to go out of our way to make him look bad or stupid and we'll let him answer the questions.

Isn't the gotcha the calling card of 60 minutes?
