Obama pushes gun control proposals in Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — With his gun proposals dividing Congress, President Barack Obama took his case for universal background checks and for banning some military-style weapons to the upper Midwest on Monday, looking to build public support for his measures and to apply pressure on lawmakers.

He uses the police as a prop for his proposal but the vast majority of working street cops don't support his plans. They believe there are enough gun laws on the books now.

Do you have actual evidence to support this? I'm talking about a nationally representative sample of law enforcement officers? I haven't seen any. The use of these arguments by both the pro- and anti-gun control sides is based on anecdotal evidence, nothing more.

Ya, I do have evidence. I train them, I've worked with them. All over the country for the last 26 years. Believe me. Look at the faces of those cops behind him on the news tonight. They do not want to be there.

That's not what the vast majority have told me.

You are directly tuned in to the vast majority of police officers?  Really?

What you are tuned in to is what the liberal media would have you believe.  Surprising what you would see if you looked at posts on gun forums from police officers.  Also surprising is that 256 Country Sheriffs have stated in writing they will not support anti 2a legislation from Barry's Bunch.

I forgot to mention, the top cop in Milwaukee just put out a radio ad that advises residents to get a gun because 911 is NOT their first line of defense.  Care to explain that?
