WASHINGTON — The number of federal background checks for firearms sales declined in the United States last month, as retailers continue to run out of guns to sell during a buying spree driven by Washington’s focus on gun control.
Background checks decreased 10 percent nationally between December and January, with large declines in the Southern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia as well as Texas, according to an analysis of new FBI data published Tuesday.

Here is another non-story.
But, Obama has now become the best gun salesman of all time! 5 million guns in about two months? WOW!
And he complains about the NRA scaring people into buying guns, looks like Barry scared them into from my viewpoint.
Everytime the guy gets elected or opens his mouth there is a run on gun stores.
Something tells me people don't trust this guy.
PS. 5 million is more than the membership of the NRA, so don't blame it on them.
Congress has barred the CDC from studying gun related injuries, viewing such studies as contrary to the Second Amendment.
For the sake of consistency, I submit that Congress should bar the CDC from studying Sexually Transmitted Diseases; on the grounds that such studies encroach on the right for the pursuit of happiness, as recognized in the declaration of independence.
