Obama administration makes progress on immigration bill

Measure being prepared in case Congress stalls

WASHINGTON — The White House is advancing work on early drafts of a comprehensive bill that would offer 11 million illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship along the lines of the principles that the president laid out in Las Vegas several weeks ago, administration officials said.

President Obama revealed last month that his administration had already drafted immigration legislation. But he said he preferred to let a bipartisan coalition of lawmakers work out their own bill that could also tighten border security and provide employers with a way to verify the citizenship status of workers.

First of all, it isn't "The White House" is advancing work on early drafts.. It's Barack Obama's plan. he is responsible for it, put his name on it.  Obama is planning to SABOTAGE the bipartisan Senate negotiations. He was explicitly told by BOTH parties to NOT  draft an Administration bill. Obama's bill has NO plans to tighten border security. And Obama does NOT want to sign a bipartisan bill. He really wants to just PRETEND that he is perpetually fighting for immigration reform.

Globe just CHANGED the HEADLINE. Now it's Obama Administration makes progress on immigration bill? As I noted in the previous blog. Obama was told to NOT draft an Adminisraton bill...Neither Obama, nor the Globe seem to take "NO" fo rna answer.
