3 men jump on tracks in NYC to help stranger

NEW YORK — Three good Samaritans in New York City jumped onto subway tracks after a stranger fell, hoisting the man to safety before a train rolled into the station.

The rescue happened Sunday at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. A man in his 20s hit his head and stumbled onto the tracks.

Where are our mechanical engineers and safety personnel?  They should be able to design a practical barrier, such as a retractable fence or disappearing railing, which would prevent people from falling into the pit!
