WASHINGTON (AP) — Staking out his ground ahead of a fiscal deadline, President Barack Obama lashed out against Republicans, saying they are unwilling to raise taxes to reduce deficits and warning that the jobs of essential government workers, from teachers to emergency responders, are on the line.

Maybe Obama should not have put this possibility in place. What did he think would happen if he did ont negotiate?
Obama DEFAMES the Republican Party with this speech. This is outright LIBEL. None of what he said is true....The Sequester removes only $85 Billion. If ALL of the above occurs with a $85 Billion Cut, then the Federal Government is INCOMPETENT. And since when does the Federal Government pay public school teachers, police and firefighters?
Teachers, police, and firefighters are "sacred cows"...sort of like mom and apple pie...and implying that they will be affected by the sequester touches a nerve and elicits outrage. So I don't think that President Obama cares if it's true or not. Also, all three are union jobs, and defending union positions is always a pragmatic move for a progressive politician.
Obama said "I put TOUGH CUTS on the TABLE. I'm willing to work with anyone". What a BIG LIE. Obama doesn't want to cut ANYTHING. And he doesn't want to work with Republicans in any fashion. This is Obama CAMPAIGNING. And the campaigning is AGAINST many things that he said and did in the past. He expects you to be a "Low Information Voter" and forget what ever he said and did yesterday.

How about he cuts out the 20 million he has spent on vacations? I know it is not much, but someone has to LEAD. Oh, wait, he is busy getting $1000/hr golf lessons.
Ever time Air Force One takes off it costs $180,000 per hour. Damn that is alot of tax dollars shooting out the old tailpipes. Does he really have to go all the way to Hawaii?
