Both parties see silver lining in cutbacks

Key constituents, core tenets could withstand effect

WASHINGTON — With time running short and little real effort underway to avert automatic budget cuts that take effect on Friday, substantial and growing wings of both parties are learning to live with — if not love — the so-called sequester.

‘‘It’s going to happen,’’ said Representative Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio and a leading conservative voice in the House. ‘‘It’s not the end of the world.’’

"At the same time, the president gets some relief from the constant drumbeat of budget news to focus on his top policy priorities: immigration and gun control."...And the Globe gives the President lots of relief by not reporting in the print newspaper another NY times front page article: Namely Obama just gave a "Get out of Jail Free" card to hundreds of illegal immigrants, some of whom used guns. Obama and Janet Napolitano say they didn't know about the prisoner release. Do you believe them?

There was a full story on that issue in YESTERDAY's paper.  Did you sleep through the day or what?

"For weeks, President Obama has barnstormed the country, warning of the dire consequences of the cuts to military readiness, educators, air travel, and first responders even as the White House acknowledges that some of the disruptions will take weeks to emerge.".. The president barnstormed the country, in perpetual campaign mode.  And of course the NY Times and the Globe will report when the major cuts actually occur, which will be NEVER.

Don't worry,  they won't have to report it because,  it'll be ALL over the news.   Don't like government ?....  well baby,  you're going to get less of it.   Economy going back down the toilet ?....  better look for a plunger

more horrible economic news. Obama really is plain awful

Oh, yeah, and Boehner is a genius, right?   NOT!!!!!

This story makes it seem that Janet Napolitano, the federal transportation secretarty, President Obama, and a whole slew of incumbent administration officials have been lying between their teeth about the hyper-disasters the U.S. faces due to the sequestration.  Why would I believe the President in anything he says so long as this particular individual remains in office?  I guess the only way to sum my view up is to say, "President Barack Hussein Obama is a plain, flat-out fork-tongued sleaze with an inability to tell the truth."

Well, since you've been essentially saying that very same thing for over four years, why even bother to continue to type it?  Just put some standard comment like "I'm 'boatwrote', and you all know how I stand.  Status is quo here in 'boatwrote-ville'."  Oh, and maybe you could add, "Don't forget I told you so."

I, for one, cannot wait!  Anyone remember "Y2K" and how much chaos that caused?  Yeah, that's what I thought . . . . . . .
