TSA will drop ban on small knives

WASHINGTON — Airline passengers will be able to carry small knives, souvenir baseball bats, golf clubs, and other sports equipment onto planes beginning next month under a policy change announced Tuesday by the head of the Transportation Security Administration.

The new policy conforms US security standards to international standards, and allows TSA to concentrate its energies on more serious safety threats, the agency said in a statement.

Knives=ok, but toddlers with bottles or juice boxes = nope!

WOW_talk about misognyistic! Small knives, souvenir baseball bats, golf clubs, and other sports equipment are o.k., but get those little ladies carrying more than 2oz. of make-up.

Seriously?  Misogynistic? You are implying that they are doing this to allow men bring weapons on the plane, which truthfully, makes no sense whatsoever.  No one forces you to wear make up, let alone makes you take it on a plane - if you can't handle being without your makeup for a few hours while it's in your checked luggage there's something wrong with you.  What about men who have shampoo or shaving cream? Ooh...I'm offended. My manly rights to shave on the plane are taken away from me, call the sexual harassment police.

This is about national security.  Small blades, box-cutters, enabled the hijackers to carry out their crimes and subdue the pilots on 9/11.  It is weird that the TSA is allowing these blades back in the cabin, but calling it misogynistic is immature and proves your knowledge of the issue is minimal.  Only a warped, biased mind would say something like that.

Judging by your comment history, all you seem to do is throw negativity around this website and claim sexism in a lot of topics. The majority of your comments seem to be naggy opinions hidden behind a computer screen.

Anonymity is one hell of a drug.

Man, Hendersonville, you nailed Cantabrigian01 perfectly.
