House approves bill to prevent government shutdown

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Republican-controlled House approved legislation Wednesday to prevent a government shutdown on March 27 and blunt the impact of newly imposed spending cuts on the Defense Department.

I would like to know what makes the Defence Department so special that they are the recepients of a bye; when so many of suffering humanity will be thrown down and raped by sneering tea bag senechels, for their own good.  While the best able to bear the burden titter and chuckle.

If only we had the same sort of thing to help the children, the hungry and the homeless who will also be affected by the sequester.

I am a veteran and I receive most of my healthcare through the veterans administration and I say no.  If we cannot fund headstart, enable disabled dependents to get to and from medical appointments, food coverage for children, healthcare for children, then we cannot afford to keep my coverage at its current level nor can we keep defense spending at its current level.

What is conservative about picking and choosing if your argument is the govt. spends too much.  How is it honest to say across the board cuts with exceptions and then make more exceptions for your favorite defense industry?  Such hypocrisy from both sides, such dishonesty.  What have we become if we make our reductions at the expense of the poor and the disabled.  Oh that's right the country is run amok with fakers, with liars and cheats.  Somehow I think most of those however are part of the corporatism that has taken over the country, taken over both political parties.  Corporatism isn't free enterprise it is the domination of government by money and by the fools in the public who think that they have or will become that which they bow down to.
