Suspect in deadly NYC crash decides not to turn himself in

NEW YORK — The man suspected of fleeing the scene of a devastating car crash that claimed the lives of a young Brooklyn couple and their prematurely born son was still being sought by the police Tuesday night, as his stated intention to turn himself in went unfulfilled.

The man, Julio Acevedo, 44, is believed to have been behind the wheel of a 2010 BMW when it slammed into the driver’s side of a livery cab carrying the couple, Raizy and Nathan Glauber, early Sunday. The driver left the scene of the accident.

This man should never have been let out of prison given his serious criminal history.
