Senator Warren can work out her car--she doesn't need the plush office space--she is doing a better job than most of the wackos AND MO Cowan (What a joke). Keep up the great work on our behalf Senator.
Getting a whiff of racism here. He's a temporary appointment, just a few months, and a well educated, well regarded attorney and contributor to public service. Where's the joke?

This is the story the Globe runs on Warren after the last two hearings?
Damn it Globe, stop trying to impress your potential buyers by how much you can spin the progressive resurgance.
Considering the state of this country, why is Leahy sitting in what looks like a luxury hotel? All these people should be working out of trailers if you ask me. You don't need fancy digs to do the peoples business. Can the Globe report how much it costs to run an average senate and house member's office for a year, please?
Once again, great reporting by The Globe! Most people will miss how gracious Senator Warren appears in the story. She can work anywhere. What we should be concerned about is buried in the otherwise good story. Our own Mo Cowan won't let a reporter see his office on public land in a public building? Shame on you, Mo! Also, why did John Kerry require such high-end office space to work for me? Now, Mitch McConnell is busy moving to a we office INSTEAD of fixing the economy and figuring out the so-called entitlement mess! Business as usual?
Great reporting? Some bow-tied Glob bumpkin goes wandering to find Granny and stumbles on her rural Oklahoma-style digs. . . And gotta agree with Crank that there is no reason to be concerned over Granny's "gracious' is buried in this tale. Oh yeah, how come Deville Deval's bosom bud, Mo, hasn't got a high-flootin office? Has Deville let his other bosom bud, Barry the O, know about this insult to Mo?
Poor Liz.... Working out of a trailer??? It keeps her on par with the majority of her constituents. Maybe Duval should speak up for her...
This is precisely why I admire her....she will persevere no matter what...it is about the people and the work, not
the prestige of the position. Shame on the old-boys network...it does a disservice to the states.
Did you pick up on what Warren said when told she would be working out of a trailer.
"In November, Warren learned from her chief of staff, Mindy Myers, that she would be confined to the equivalent of a double-wide trailer. She thought it was a joke."
She went in thinking she was entitled to a plush office and thought it was a joke.
Oh the Humanity.
"Warren said she is now deeply familiar with the customs of seniority, the same rules that govern where senators sit in the chamber and their power within committees." Wait until she tries to get something done...That's OK, she'll do things in her second term... yes, that was sarcastic...
Interesting (sad?) that all those at the bottome of pile are women. Frankly, even though I have them myself, I'm more convinced than ever that having a Y chromosone is detrimental to working together in a large group like Congress. At some point, all of these confrontations seem to degrade into some sort of d__k waving contest. And I'm making no distinction between Dems and Repubs. I used to think Term Limits would help, now I think Gender Limits would make more sense. This country would be in much better shape, less divisive politcally, if for the next 20 or 30 years, we prohibited men from the US Congress.

Wow.....you really think more Nancy Pelosi would be good for the country?
Wow, what a woman of the people.
I bet this pic makes those abestos workers feel better: "she sided with the insurance company, but she's willing to sit in a trailer".
The Asbestos Victims groups supported Senator Warren, as she did not side with the insurance company. But, hey, don't let the facts influence your thinking.
Last one in, last pick of offices...least she has one...and no, we should not pay overtime to speed up the office shuffle...she is in the Senate...she should focus on the honor that is and not worry about being embarressed by her office space.
Honor - nothing. She has an obligation to represent the needs and opinions of the people of Massachusetts. Of course she sees herself more as a representative of the DNC and not as the servant of the people of the commonwealth.
Ok, I must confess my ignorance here! We have had 50 states for a long time. We have two senators from each state.
Is there some reason that we do not have 100 offices that are all indentical in size in one building?
Seems to me this is indicative of just how well our government fails to problem solve. . . . .
Not that I am defending - but with the difference committees and the chairmen of the commitees, office needs vary. Besides if my experience at Harvard or in finance is any guide, there will always be a better office (grass is greener?) How do you build a building with 100 identical offices? There will always be corners, elevators, entrance and exits, etc. Unless you build a massive circle - then you can't have equal offices.
HJT- No need to confess your ignorance, it is clearly on display every time you post.
The trailer is a good place for her. However, a teepee would be MUCH better.
She put Brown in the Teepee !
He doesn't know what side of the Teepee to sleep on though.
Where’s Warren?
http://www.nationalreview.com/exchequer/343046/where-s-warren
She's not living in Illinois, or an elected official representlng the citizens of Illinios. She's not running the SEC, or working for the Justice Department. She's not the Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, with the authority to hold hearings. She has been a member of the US Senate for nine weeks.
fraud is fraud.
Lizzy is not all that concerned about her office space. She is working on getting herself a multi million dollar "teepee" over in Chevy Chase.
And because she has worked really hard, because the free market system we have here in the US rewards those who work hard and succeed, she can afford a nice house in Chevy Chase. She earned consulting fees because people will pay good money for her expertise. Is this a problem?
I didn't vote for her either (wrote in a candidate since I didn't like either choice), but it's Senator Warren, not Lizzie or Lizzy, just as it's Senator Brown , or COL Brown, not Scotty.
Granny wants to hammer the middle class a little more to get herself some nice digs...
Remember, she's a liberal elite.... (after using her fake indian claim to get into the Ivy's...) and does not expect to have to hang with the hoi polloi...
If she was *truely* the intellectual foundation of the OWS movement...she should be happy to sleep and work out on the sidewalk...
Interesting, thecpt, everything you just wrote is factually incorrect. You're on a roll this morning!
Hmm. Granny checked the box, and isn't really an indian.... CORRECT
Hmm. Got into the Ivy's, and stopped checking the box...CORRECT
Claimed she was the intellectual foundation of the OWS... CORRECT
Where am I wrong?
How dare Harry the Reed not give Granny Warren an office at least as luxurious as that occupied by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy??!! Doesn't Harry realize that Granny is the wave of the Democratic senatorial future? And good modest Granny doesn't make a public protest about her lack-of-style digs. How senatorial of her. . .
It's Senator Reid, not Harry the Reed, and it's Senator Warren, not Granny Warren, just as it is Senator, or Colonel Brown, not Scotty and not Senator Centerfold.
Dingy Harry, and Granny Warren!
Considering the fact that Senator Scott Brown was a career politician and Elizabeth Warren was a novice politician, she's done very well. Slip ups by both candidates evened out but I believe the intellectual and philosopical differences and communication of those differences made the difference in the outcome of this past election. And IMO Massachusetts and the United States are the better for it. Senator Warren's understanding of the economic system and, I repeat and, her ideas to improve it in favor of the average worker's well financial being in wages and their retirement investments is welcome.
Jeez, Boston Globe commenters are really kinda ugly and small minded. Why can't you be nice and write soemthing intelligent, like the comments written on the New York Times on line paper. This is embarressing. Get it together, folks.
You should see the free-for-all that is on the Washington Post website. You are correct, though; pettiness reigns supreme on this site and on boston.com
The NYTimes.com comments are moderate; a real, live NYTimes employee has to read and click on every single comment before it is posted. Here in Boston, we believe in free speech.
As someone said, trailers are her constituents. A trailer is too good for Liar Lizzy...she'd be more at home in a dog house.
