How about the Internet? Good use of federal research dollars?

This is for basic research, something the private sector gave up on ago. Will help fund graduate students, who will then go into industry, where results from basic research get applied.

This is a win-win situation.  Cheaper gas for electric car haters, cheaper and better electric cars for electric car lovers.
