NEW YORK — Four women and four men were shot at a party in Brooklyn on Sunday, but all were expected to recover, police said.
Police Sergeant Thomas Antonetti said one woman was in critical condition after the shooting, but her condition was later upgraded to stable.
Police said no arrests have been made.
Investigators said someone began shooting at a house party around 1 a.m. after a dispute broke out. Antonetti said none of the victims was struck more than once. They were being treated at three hospitals.
Antonetti said the shooting started after someone was either asked to leave the party or never allowed to enter. He said it was unclear how many people fired shots.
