Performers hurt in platform collapse at circus in Providence (warning: graphic footage)

Warning: For some viewers the images may be jarring. Nine aerial performers were seriously injured when they fell Sunday afternoon during a circus show in Providence. The performers dropped 25 to 40 feet to the ground after the metal frame from which they were hanging separated from its support during the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus’ Legends show at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
