68-year-old woman accused of purse-snatching

NEW YORK — The NYPD has arrested a 68-year-old woman accused of snatching purses from restaurant patrons in Brooklyn.

Police say Hannah Harris stole a handbag dangling on the back of a woman’s chair at Mullanes Bar and Grill in Fort Green on Sunday. She’s also accused of removing a purse from the Tea Lounge in Park Slope on June 1.

Harris’ alleged actions were caught on surveillance tape. She was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Authorities say Harris has a record of arrests for thefts stretching back to 1981.

It wasn’t immediately clear if she had a lawyer.
