The Kennedy network
Senator Edward M. Kennedy had more than 1,100 aides during his 47 years in the US Senate. Many of them have become important power brokers who have remained, risen, and currently occupy positions of great influence, five years after their former boss died. Many view themselves as carrying on his legacy.
