During the heightened tension of Election 2016, police departments across the country would like to remind you to stay safe and that calling 911 is not the solution to your political arguments.
In Lawrence, Kan., the police force tweeted their advice Monday night during the first presidential debate:

We realize politics can make emotions run high, but being mad at a presidential candidate in a debate is NOT a reason to call 911.
They also discouraged drinking games, particularly ones focused on Republican nominee Donald Trump’s pronunciation of the word “huge”:

It was not immediately clear what prompted the advice, but making a false 911 call is a misdemeanor in the state of Kansas.
