Does President Trump know how to spell the word “heal”?
Friday morning, while praising the efforts of Hurricane Harvey first responders, President Trump wrote that “Texas is heeling fast.”
It was the third time he’s misspelled the word “heal.”
Last month, as thousands of people descended on Boston Common to demonstrate against white supremacy, Trump tried for kind words about the protesters, but wrote that “sometimes protest is needed to heel, and heel we will!”
Trump seemed to realize there was an issue with the tweet and deleted it, but made the same misspelling again in the new tweet.
“Sometimes you need to protest in order to heel, & we will heel, & be stronger than ever before!”
He then deleted that one, and got it right on the third try.
Our great country has been divided for decades. Sometimes you need protest in order to heal, & we will heal, & be stronger than ever before!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 19, 2017
heal (to become healthy again)— Merriam-Webster (@MerriamWebster) August 19, 2017
heel (a contemptible person)
? he'll (he will)
“It’s never too late for a teachable moment,” they said in a follow up.
