Vicki Kennedy proposes date change for Senate debate to avoid Yom Kippur conflict

Victoria Reggie Kennedy today told Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren that she had changed the date of a proposed debate between the two US Senate contenders to avoid a conflict with the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. She also said the event’s high-profile moderator, former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw, had adjusted his schedule to accommodate the change from Sept. 26 to Sept. 27. The holiday runs from sundown on Sept. 25 to sundown on Sept. 26.
