Bloomberg urges candidates to lead gun control debate

Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York on Sunday called for President Obama and presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney to lead a national debate about gun control, so far a nonissue in the presidential campaign.

“You want our votes. What are you going to do about it?” Bloomberg, an independent, said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

I see Scooter has managed to find another position that is contrary to his constituents!

It's interesting that "independent" Bloomberg tries to force an issue, knowing that Romney's views may not jibe with the emotions of the country right now. As opposed to the laws. Bloomberg is like the plant in the audience of a magic trick or a bad improv group. They ask for a volunteer or idea and there he is, ready to feed the Democrats their lines. I can't take Bloomberg seriously on any issue - especially when he has to try and call attention away from Colorado and try to aim the spotlight back at himself.

Americans possess millions of firearms already. Tighter regulation of sales of new arms won't eliminate that existing inventory of guns. The key to ending gun violence is identifying crazy people early and getting them medical help before they commit criminal acts.

It is absolutely amazing that pollsters can find voters who claim they will still vote for Obama: Obama has shown us that he is unable to lead anyone expect young naive community agitators - don't forget this is a man who refuses to communicate with other legislators no matter their party affiliation. Obama is kind of snarky and smug in his elected position. Entitlement? What makes him so aggressive and willing to do anything to ascend the esteem ladder? Although, his colleagues recognize his failure to lead and the public know he failed to follow through with his campaign promises. Hollywood parties . . . snubbing people who ought to be considered his colleagues, political foes and allies. What kind of behavior is this from an elected politician? or a President?
