Welfare flap underscores differing approaches to Senate race

The cloud stirred up by a group’s effort to increase voter registration among Massachusetts welfare recipients dovetails with the Democrats’ primary plan for winning this fall’s US Senate race, even if that effort is not sanctioned by the Patrick administration or state Democratic party.

That plan is this: increase turnout among traditional liberal Democratic constituencies by all means possible, swamping Senator Scott Brown and the Republican Party during a presidential year.

And ... Massachusetts gave a driver's license to Obama's illegal immigrant Uncle, found guilty of drunk driving and ordered deported decades ago. So despite this article saying "everything's on the up and up" ... of course Democrats want illegals to vote. Of course they want to reward welfare recipients with EBT cards that they can use for liquor, drugs and cigarettes.

It would be fun to see the Democrat reaction if we did something that made sense ... move voting from Tuesday to Saturday. Imagine that, make it convenient for we slobs to have to go to work all week and pay for everything?

Name one incident where a non-citizen illegally voted in a Massachusetts election. Just one. Can't? That's because it's a myth. Get over it.

I'm a Democrat and I totally support this idea. I don't know why you think that's a partisan issue.

Good roundup of the race so far Glen. Well done.

I think he's implying Democrats don't have jobs.

I might have missed it. Is there a candidate running against Ms Warren, or will she be another of the anointed Mass. Senate stake holders?
