Conservative activist courts evangelical vote for Romney

DULUTH, Ga. — Ralph Reed is clearly relishing his revival.

Just six years ago, the man who turned the Christian Coalition into such a powerful political force that he was called ‘‘God’s right-hand man’’ was all but written off, tarnished by his ties to the disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, then trounced in his campaign to become Georgia’s lieutenant governor.

maybe mr reed has turned his back on his christian god, as i see no other reason for his decision to support gov romney.

or maybe he hopes to get a cabinet position or ambassadorial post in a possible romney administration.

does he not see that romney is a high priest in the mormon cult church? if you were to ask the average evangelical

christian if they would support a high priest of a satanic church, i am sure they would say no way. so why would

mr reed be supporting gov romney whose church believes that jesus is the by product of god and his goddess wife and is the spirit brother of satan. if people believe mormonism is a christian denomination, they better read up on the truth about mormonism. if romney is elected, he can only bring down spiritual suicide upon this country.

Conservatives and conservative activists are not my cup of tea.  They exist in a world of their own, where a written word in a book is applied with THEIR explanation and intent, to all Americans.  God reigns supreme in EVERYONE'S life...or else.  Different trains of thought are tolerated...for now.  Different ways of expressing religious and ethical preferences are tolerated...for now.  Different methods of dealing with problems like welfare, food stamps, poverty and disability, area maintained...for now.  But it won't be long before the Great Reckoning!  We will all look forward to the day when another Moral Majority rules the Congress with a Shining Knight as President!  Things will change for the better! You'll see!  Just trust me and I will create jobs, eliminate the deficit, not raise taxes, by pro-life (well, maybe most of the time...unless I change my mind...again,) deport the illegal immigrants and this will be a God-fearing Nation!    I also know of a bridge in New York that spans the East River, connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn.  I think it's still for sale.

Many political experts claim that actual mailings have tremedous impact on shifting the votes of undecided voters. I myself have my own experience with mailings to share: It is just amazing (and often appalling) what absurd statements many candidates are willing to put in print in the hopes of scaring voters away from opponents. This is often taken to the extreme by adding religious arguments to the content. This is why I find this news of mass mailings encouraging, because the more tactical broadcasting Reed and other Romney allies engage in, the more evidence Americans can accumulate against them.
