First debate called critical for Mitt Romney

Higher stakes than for Obama

After months of sniping from a distance, President Obama and Mitt Romney are nearing the unsparing crucible of one-on-one debates that could alter the dynamics of the presidential campaign.

For Romney, particularly, the stakes are enormous.

"Romney can stumble when he veers off script". How about the president? They let him off the teleprompter and he utters the now infamous, " You didn't build it" rant.

How many ways can they rebrand our horrible  X Governor.     Maybe he will say something intresting, like 47% was to low.  I am thinking more like 90% .  That would be honest.

The press corps' debate analysis have been written & are ready for print.

Are you and the TheSystemWorked having a contest for most content free posting?  At some point, you're going to have to come up with a reason to support your guy...

We're counting on you for that same sort of objectivity, too.

"Obama tends to be long-winded, professorial, and not geared for sound bites." It's really sad that these are considered "liabilities" in a presidential debate.

The most recent polls show Obama ahead of Romney by 3 to 6% in Colorado, and since there is a history in Colorado of liberals dodging participation in polls, it is likely to be a larger margin. This puts Romney in a defensive stance, which he typically stumbles with. This bodes well for Romney continuing to put his foot in his mouth, allowing Obama to continue to calmly stick to the facts our situation.
