Senator Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren, the Harvard Law School professor and Democrat trying to unseat him, had their second debate tonight in a setting almost befitting the gladiators.
They met for an hour before a crowd of 5,700 at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Tsongas Center. David Gregory, host of the NBC News program “Meet the Press,” moderated. The debate was co-sponsored by the Boston Herald.

"During their first debate, he aggressively criticized her claim of Native American heritage, "....... I sure hope he lets this one go. I support him and I'm intending to cast my vote his way but he has to move away from this. If he thinks it was a killing stroke, it wasn't and the minor bruise it might leave will him look like nothing more than a bully if he keeps coming back to it. I'll be watching...
Yes, hopefully he will move on to her practicing law in a Massachusetts court involving Massachusetts law without being a member of the Massachusetts bar association. I believe it's just a misdemeanor, but evidence of her once again being a 1% who doesn't practice what she preaches.
Sadly he's all about the "heritage issue" and calling her Professor. It's almost unwatchable. It's like even doesn't think he has accomplishments worth noting.
Scalia?
I thought Scott carried the day again, but not as strongly as he did in the first debate. David Gregory, given his NBC background, was surprisingly objective. The best line of the night went to the Senator, when he said in essence, I'm not one of your students, you have to let me speak.
Out here in the hinterlands it's hard to believe this race is close, not that I mistrust polls run by the Globe, but didn't they have Martha Coakley up by 7 points the day before the special election!
Clearly not the debate I watched.....thank you Herald.......Glen, Prof Warren's all done.
