The Obama campaign argued Sunday that the latest jobs report, showing a national unemployment rate under 8 percent for the first time since the president took office, has undermined Mitt Romney’s central message.
Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod even suggested that some Romney backers were rooting for bad news from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, believing that as unemployment rises, so does the Republican nominee’s political prospects.

Is Globe Correspondennt (not staff reporter) Borchers alleging that the Obama 'camp' saying something rockets that statement to the rank of biblically true? Well heck, Axelrod is at least as truthful as the males the President has hired as his chief press spokesmen since he took over the White House. . . .
Or should we just take Mitt's word about the economy, too, no matter what the numbers actually are? I find the rush to suddenly knowledge of U6 unemployment figures on the part of conservatives to be particularly interesting. Before the talking points measure dropped below a magical threshold, I don't recall hearing very much (any) mention of U6. So, when it's convenient, we use the standard numbers and when it isn't, they're misleading? Sorry, I find this no more consistent than Romney's stands on abortion, gun control, severe conservatism, health care, or the 47%.
Every economist in the country says those jobs numbers are bull hockey! It is amazing that the media will actively sell us one lie after another lie after another lie, over and over and over again. If the press is going to give us lies and cover so badly for Obama, then we can't vote for the press's candidate. Obama must go. A press that isn't a watchdog but a cheerleader is a very dangerous thing.
And I repeat, they weren't bull hockey until the unemployment number dropped below a convenient threshold that Mitt used as a bludgeon whenever possible? Sometimes, I agree, numbers can fluctuate when you don't expect them to: you can't always measure what's important. But selectively using them as reliable, then discarding them when they're inconvenient is sour grapes and nothing else.
The economists explained how and why they are bull hockey. Maybe you should look into before looking silly....
What do you expect them to say? You can't expect them to say they cooked the stats!
Economists are reporting that the latest job report from Obama & his Chicago gang is under-reporting millions of Americans who have disengaged from the job market. The truth is the numbers game the Democrats are playing is an attempt to boost Obama's failed presidency with unsubstantiated stats.

What kind of joke is this? We are supposed to assume that Phoenix Capital Research is providing us objective information by running down BLS statistics while trying to sell its financial advice services at a profit? A short google search also suggests these guys are also telling us the Euro won't survive 2012: http://www.economicnoise.com/tag/phoenix-capital-research/ Is there a particular reason to assume this group has any more credibility than, say, Bear Stearns? Perhaps it's time for another Mitt-like $10k bet on the Euro. Or, maybe you'd like the bridge I have for sale...
