The Globe provided real-time fact checks and analysis during tonight’s presidential debate. The debate started at 9 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y., and was the second of three presidential debates for the 2012 election.
10:45 p.m. | ANALYSIS: Watching David Brooks and Mark Shields on PBS, I agree that Obama’s vulnerability tonight and going forward is the vagueness about what’s in a second term. What does 2014 look like? What exactly will he do? We didn’t hear a whole lot about that tonight.

Globe's 10:16 p.m. | ANALYSIS: Strong answer from Obama responding to Romney’s attacks, saying he finds the politicization of all this “offensive." But WEAK reply from Romney here. He seemed afraid to confront Obama here. Mitt should have mentioned that the President later told the UN 6 times on Sept 26 that "The Video Did It". Also the moderator improperly helped Obama out here. Her "fact check" was wrong. Obama LIEd once again about Libya as more "Fact Checks" will show. Apparently we are supposed to have AMNESIA and forget the continued references to "The Video" for the next 3 weeks.
Globe says: 10:03 p.m. | ANALYSIS: The Obama administration, for anyone who doesn’t know, has actually been tougher than a lot of people think on illegal immigrants, in terms of deportations and workplace raids. HUH? I didn't know either that Obama has been tougher on illegal immigrants. What is the proposed "DREAM" act about? Somebody's dream?
The "9:33 fact check" is quite misleading in my view. You said: "The Tax Policy Center concluded that Romney cannot accomplish both goals – revenue neutrality and protecting the middle class from tax hikes – but Princeton economist Harvey S. Rosen and others have argued that he can." Why did you not mention that Harvey S. Rosen was the chairman of President George W. Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers?? Seems like a significant and suspicious omission in an article on "fact checking" if you ask me.
