Salt Lake Tribune endorses Obama

The Salt Lake Tribune endorsed President Obama for reelection Friday, with an editorial that was highly critical of Republican challenger Mitt Romney, who is as close to being a favorite son candidate from Utah, the historic and cultural center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as a non-resident can be.

The Tribune, published by MediaNews Group, criticized Romney’s “servile courtship of the Tea Party” to win his party’s nomination and called him “shameless” in pandering to various constituencies, terming him the GOP’s “shape-shifting nominee.”

The Salt Lake Tribune? Unbelievable! If there's anyplace I would think is Romney country, it would be Utah.

The editorial really pegged him, except they believed the propaganda that he was a bipartisan governor of Massachusetts. Actually, he issued over 800 vetoes and over 700 of them were overriden by the legislature. That doesn't sound very bipartisan to me.

The funniest thing is that when you read the comments there, the right wingers use the same rote phrases about Obama that they use here. They must be all watching Fox News or reading the same blogs and mindlessly using the phrases they've heard from others. So funny!
