Brown had low-key style in state Legislature

When Scott Brown arrived in Washington almost three years ago, the spotlight was glaring. Packs of reporters followed his every move. “Saturday Night Live’’ spoofed his hunky looks. Fellow senators swooned. “The Scott Brown election sent shudders through the Capitol,” Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee declared.

It was a stark contrast from the Wrentham Republican’s arrival on Beacon Hill in 1998 and the 11-year tenure that followed.

Where's the big puff piece for Brown like in last weeks Sunday Globe for Warren?   In the National Guard for Decades, father of great kids, married to Gail Huff,  years and years in State legislature before considering the Senate ...

It would be nice to see what Liz has done at the State House... Oh, that's right, she's never been there!!  Liz has never been a state rep, never been a state senator, never been a selectman, never been a mayor, never run a major product line for a company, never run a company, and never laid awake at night sweating out meeting payroll every two weeks!  Liz Warren has never done ANYTHING with her life that justifies her candidacy, much less a vote!!!

User_ ... not only that, when Harry Reid annointed her, all the Dem candidates that HAD paid their dues in the state and held elective office got KICKED out of the race. Elizabeth Warren LOVES a RIGGED SYSTEM, whether it's elections, playing Native American to get tenure at Harvard or working as a lawyer without passing the Mass bar. Well, if she thinks that the rules don't apply to her than I say GOOD FOR YOU, but don't expect my vote!

Citizens for Limited Taxation did give high grades to Scott Brown, but who are those anti-tax activists who are mentioned in the next sentence? Wasn't us....

No sireeee. Not only is this article a hack-job of our Senator Scott Brown, it is such a distortion that it is truly a pathetic piece of wasted space.

However, voters are also responsible for educating themselves. ANyone who is unsure of choices or the differences between Senator Brown & Prof. Warren can review their web-sites, attend meet - &  - greets, or simply phone the candidate's office.

Never vote with doubts about your choices.

Absolutely agree Cantabrigian0! Sen. Brown voted against a bill to reward companies that bring jobs back to America and deny tax breaks for shipping U.S. jobs overseas. Brown voted to filibuster a carrot-and-stick bill that targeted off-shoring of jobs by offering employers a two-year payroll tax break on every job shifted back to America, while denying tax deductions for building a plant or office offshore and eliminating certain tax subsidies for companies doing production overseas Brown said his approach would be extending the Bush tax cuts - "all of them" (i.e., including those for the wealthy) - and cutting the tax rate on corporations.
