President Obama toured hurricane-battered New Jersey by helicopter and on foot Wednesday, before resolutely vowing to bring the full power of the federal government to assist those whose lives were upended by Hurricane Sandy.
Taking one more day off the campaign trail, Obama spent the afternoon with Governor Chris Christie, meeting with emergency officials and visiting a shelter for people left homeless on the island city of Brigantine.

Everything we know about Mitt says hecould sell FEMA to the highest bidding private company in a heartbeat. Same for most of the government and it's assets.
What about Barack Obama's VOW to punish those responsible for the embassy attack in Benghazi, Libya? We KNEW as soon as he made it, that he wasn'y going to act on it.
Sucks to have you GOPers hero, Gov. Christie, complimenting President Obama, doesn't it. Meanwhile, Stench Romney buys $5000 worth of canned tuna to give people so they can pretend to donate it and Willard can pretend to pack it up and box it. Maybe Ryan can pretend to wash some more clean dishes once they get the cameras turned on. GOP can name their entire campaign: Let's Pretend!
Geez, Miker6, can you give the man a minute? George W. Bush took 7 years and never found Osama bin Laden at all.
Obama made useless vows and is based on pure politics only. Some examples include: first what is the definition of full power of federal government and how do we measure this ? second, is there a system to record and monitor that all calls are in fact responded to in 15 minutes? And most importantly - is his vow definitive enough that any violation will be subject to severe punishment and prison time for both obama and federal officials who violate the definitive details of his vows? Who will be severely punished if there are long gas lines, lack of adequate transporation, people lack of medication, or freeze at night. We know that no one will be punished - which proves his vows are meaningless but good for politics. Let obama define his vows and put in severe punishment if he is serious that this is not politics.
***I don’t just talk about change,” Romney said. “I actually have a plan to execute change.***------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Except that he can't say just what that plan looks like because if he did people wouldn't vote for him. Ah, wonderful to see the GOPers in fullpanic and desperation mode. But rumor has it that Mitt has edged into a small lead on Planet Kolob.
Right. Barack Obama depends on the lapdog media, like the Boston Globe to never question him if any of his "VOWS" are actually implemented. And you all know, that NONE of his "VOWS" will take place. And latest news: 16 Fisker cars with lithium batteries EXPLODE after being submerged in New Jersey. Obama's "Clean Energy" at work.
Where's bcarman9 when we need him?
rsox2007, what he heck are you talking about? Definitions of full power of the government, how do we measure it, a monitor to make sure calls are responded to in 15 minutes, and most ridiculous, prison time if any of these vows cannot be proven. You are trully a person that is extreme at it`s most blatant level. Allow me to borrow from System: LOL, Too Funny.
Mitt Romney, Scott Brown and Chris Christie have all expressed a willingness and desire to work across the political aisle. Can we tone down the partisan politics of the past four years just a bit and deal with tax reform, entitlement reform, immigration reform and budget deficit reduction? I am betting that a President Romney would be willing to try. Would Senators Lizzy Warren and Harry Reid be willing to act in a bipartisan fashion? I have my doubts.
I'm puzzled by this comment. The partisan politics began when VP Joe Biden was told by Mitch McConnell the Repubicans were not about to cooperate with President Obama.

This is Obama campaigning. Funny how they said this was a day off...looking like a hero and making promises he can't or won't keep is Obama's favorite campaign move next to meeting celebrities on talk shows.
Or maybe he's jus being the President, because that's his job.
Obama's little 'Blue Book' that he is claims holds his plans for the next 4 years and which he is providing to voters in 'swing-states' - CONTAINS HIS SPEECHES!!!!!
Toooo funny - nothing new in Obama's 'BLUE BOOK" - NOTHING.
OMIG - Voters need a reality - head - check - if seeing Obama touring storm damage sites will sway them to vote for him.
Something is terribly the matter with their critical thinking process, to forget the past 4 years.
It is amazing how many Bloggers have been dancing to Obama's flute this past 4 years. For example - 'bojanglesdance' can't get out of his trance- similar - to the tingley leg guy (Chris Mathews). Still hot for Obama.

Obama's vow in an interview earlier this week with MSNBC, suggested that he would develop a “Secretary of Business:” Obama’s ‘new’ government department would act as a “one-stop shop” instead of having for “dealing with things like getting loans to SBA or helping companies with exports.”
Obama's future plan is he is going to create the, "Department of Business.” Today, Governor Romney said, “We don’t need a Secretary of Business to understand business we need a president who understands business and I do!”
“President Romney” is sounding better every day!
