ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — President Barack Obama was declared the winner of Florida’s 29 electoral votes Saturday, ending a four-day count with a razor-thin margin that narrowly avoided an automatic recount that would have brought back memories of 2000.
No matter the outcome, Obama had already clinched re-election and now has 332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.

It's a liberal conspiracy, I tell ya . . a liberal conspiracy.
The importance of this story is that it's a symptom of serious voting problems in Florida. All that state's juggling of their election laws has created an impossible situation.
When I lived in Florida early in my life, election results were available by 11 pm or so. We used those big mechanical voting machines back then. They were accurate and the totals easily read by election officials. The curtains closed around you so you had absolute privacy.
The disadvantage, of course, was that the machines were bulky and heavy, and had to trucked to the polling places.
