Brown says another run for office is premature

WASHINGTON -- Senator Scott Brown, in his first news conference since last week’s reelection loss, said it was premature for him to consider another political run, either for governor or the US Senate, even as speculation intensifies that his fellow Massachusetts senator, John Kerry, could ascend to a Cabinet post in a second Obama administration.

“First of all, it’s speculation. There is no vacancy that I’m aware of, and my biggest job right now is to make sure there is a smooth transition from my office to the senator-elect’s office,” he said. “We’ll see what happens. I’m not even thinking about it right now.”

I would never vote for Brown for Senator because of his political party, but I could easily be pursuaded to vote for him as governor. I wouldn't make a definte decision this early, but he might make a very good governor.

Sure, let Scott run.   We will run a pet rock against him in the primary and win.

Sen Brown lost by 8% in a state wide election. His views are distinctly contrary to the people in this state on most unsettled issues.  Whether it is taxes, women's rights, worker's needs, environmental concerns, or health he is out of sync with the Commonwealth.  He is right to cool his jets.  Even now after losing he continues to follow his Republican overseers when he is perfectly free to show he indeed does have some independent politcal backbone.  It is not there.

That would be because he is hoping for a job or a handout from them.

Senator Brown lost by 8% in a state where registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans by a 3 to 1 margin. He should have lost by 32% (66 to 34). Not so sure that the results support your conclusion.
