‘Gifts’ to minorities, young voters helped Obama win, Romney says

Mitt Romney said during a conference call with his national finance committee on Wednesday that President Obama won reelection largely by bestowing “gifts” on key voting blocs, “especially the African-American community, the Hispanic community and young people.”

The gifts included guaranteed — and, in some cases, subsidized — health care coverage under the 2010 national health care law, help paying for college, and protection from deportation for some illegal immigrants, Romney said, according to the New York Times.

The Hispanics? Still clueless.

The Hispanics? Still clueless.

What a pathetic moron.

What a pathetic moron.

It's never Governor Romney's fault. So much for the gracious concession and pledge to work for America.

Governor Romney, don't go away mad, just go away.

The lying loser is still whining.  What a moron. You lost. Just go away

Actually I'm shocked. Romney is delusional and I didn't realize that before the election.

Thank goodness that he lost. It was a close call -- too close.

Them grapes are sour

One can only imagine how he and Paul Ryan would have treated these constituencies if they had won.  He hasn't a clue how most Americans live.

Message to the Sore Loser, What did our President "give" to the voters: of Belmont, his suburban home in Massachusetts, or to residents of Wolfeboro his elegant vacation home in New Hampshire; or to citizens in La Jolla California where he's building a mega mansion? Romney's sour grapes message testifies that the American public made the correct decision on November 6.

If his proposed tax breaks for the wealthy weren't "gifts," what were they?

At long last, we finally know what the Mittster thinks and where he stands on the issues.  Too bad we won't have him to kick around anymore!

Good Bishop Romney has clearly sunk into a bitter mood.  It's funny how every state where he owns a house rejected him.  All that money and time wasted...how depressing. To be one of the chosen, yet rejected by voters. Simply unthinkable!  What to do?

Willard needs to get his mind "right" by doing what he does best.  Why not join up with the other corporate raiders and wreck a few more companies?  Why not push a few towns in the Heartland over the edge? That'll put the smile back on his face and pep in his step!

Maybe the time has come to pack up and make the great trek to Utah...get back to those roots.

Obama won Belmont with 66% of the vote.  Belmont's median household income is $95,377.  Explain how self-interest in "Obama's gifts" lost you Belmont, Mr. Romney.

It is fine for Mitt and his campaign staff to remain delusional about their own shortcomings (continuous shape shifting on practically every issue and naked, public contempt for at least half the electorate had nothing to do with the outcome!!??).  However, over the next few weeks, we will be having a serious conversation about how to avoid the fiscal cliff.  If others in the Republican party truly believe what's stated in this article as well, that conversation is at major risk:  the debate over the finanaces of the country needs to be based in reality.  Let's hope the rest of his party thinks more clearly.
