N.Y. police investigate how Mitt Romney motorcade data included in Macy’s parade confetti

A British newspaper is reporting that police in New York are investigating how confidential records - including information about a Mitt Romney motorcade route - ended up in confetti that showered down on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

A report in the Daily Telegraph said, “The shredded documents rained down on thousands of parade-goers who lined the streets to watch the parade near Central Park on New York’s Upper West Side on Thursday.

O lawdie... what a joke!!! A bylined story by a first rank, Boston Glob reporter based on a British newspaper report, and storified because it relates to ex-MA Gov. Mitt Romney's motorcade.  One wonders why the Brits even cared, but a Glob story reporting that a British newspaper beat the Glob to the 'news'.  What the Glob does not report is the Daily Telegraph's alleged source for this news about shredded documents, allegedly from the Nassau County Police Department and perhaps containing information on police officers' personal information. A byline for a Boston Glob hyper-reporter on political intelligence matters... based on a British newspaper report... Does he also search the Tirana Gazeta for American political news from the Albanian view?
