Capuano named to House Ethics Committee

WASHINGTON - Bay State Representative Mike Capuano was named to the House Ethics Committee today, according to a press release from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office.

The Somerville congressmen joins three other Democrats approved for the post by the Democratic Caucus, including Ted Deutch of Florida, Yvette Clarke of New York and Pedro Pierluisi of Puerto Rico. The committee - made up of five representatives from each party - conducts investigations of members of Congress and sets the legislature’s ethical standards, including those for travel, campaign activities and conflicts of interest.
