NEW YORK — Sarah Palin is out as a Fox News Channel contributor.
The network said Friday that it is parting ways with the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate. Bill Shine, executive vice president at Fox News, said the network has enjoyed its association with Palin and wishes her the best. There was no immediate comment from the former governor of Alaska.

"She decided to do other things..." There's a lovely face-saving sentence! Whatever political capital this ninny ever possessed drained away years ago.
guess that hopey-changey routine didnt work out for Palin on Fox ... perhaps is she becomes a bottle blonde, she will yet have a reincarnation on extended cable reality ... an undistinguished end for an truly undistinguished, actually embarassing, political hack
After 5 years Fox finally realized she had nothing of value to say. Or maybe they realized she was hurting their credibility or maybe it was a combo of the two. Either way, it's better late than never.
Sarah Palin was a political freak, another of the decisions made by Republicans that has earned that party and its members the label "stupid". It is about time that the American news media stopped treating Palin like a political phenom and let her retire to Alaska where she can deal with her strange family and run again for political office in an electorate that may still be persuadable.
As far as I know, she wouldn't win an election for Dog Catcher or Street Sweeper in Alaska. They can't stand her up there.
When's the last time that the AP or the Globe even mentioned Fox News by name? And Why don't they mention all of the commentators who ARE on the show? AP doesn't mention that Palin was replaced by former Democratic Party Congressman Dennis Kucinich. Fox is not afraid to put liberal commentators on Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity or Greta VanSusteren's talk shows.
Dennis Kucinich has never, ever been in the Democratic Party.
And MSNBC is also "not afraid to put liberal commentators" on its shows. D'oh!
Oops! Got Dennis Kucinich mixed up with John Kasich, darnit. Oh, well, what does it matter? I guess Kucinich joins Juan Williams s another token liberal on FoxNews.
